The 31st International Biometric Conference in Riga will feature some of the most recent research carried out in EU-PEARL

Marta Bofill Roig, from the Medical University of Vienna, will present the results of the research on the use of non-concurrent controls in platform trials in Riga on the 10-15 July

IBC2022 is one of the world’s premier statistics conferences and this year will be held in the capital of Latvia, at the Radisson Blu Latvija Conference & Spa Hotel from July 10-15.

EU-PEARL postdoctoral researcher from the Medical University of Vienna, Marta Bofill will present the paper “Utilizing non-concurrent controls in platforms trials in the presence of time trends” which she has co-authored with Pavla Krotka and Martin Posch.

In her talk, she’ll be reviewing different methods to incorporate non-concurrent control data in treatment-control comparisons allowing for time trends. She will also be examining the impact of time trends on the operating characteristics of treatment effect estimators for each method.
